Kataweb an Italian website dedicated to the show, has asked its readers to send photos that appear next to celebrities. In the more than 700 that have been collected predominantly athletes, big music stars or film, but there are also a good writer (Consolo, For), some good singing (Battiato, Nannini, Consoli), some good actors (Malkovich, Buscemi, Dafoe) and other interesting characters. I wonder what leads someone to want to be photographed with a famous and I reply that it must be the pleasure provided by their works, films, songs, their goals or their rights topspin. I also wonder who I would like to photograph me, and one name stands out clearly among others, Juan Eduardo Zuñiga. I've seen a couple of times on a tour of Madrid and the two have regretted not carrying a book of his to ask for an autograph. There's something I love his prose. I feel like the happy outcome of a titanic effort that does not conceal his arduous preparation, but presents the reader with an incomparable delicacy and modesty. There are many other writers, musicians or artists in general I admire deeply, but did not occur to me to get close to them for an autograph or photo. I think it has to do with mysterious harmonies, uncontrollable affinities.
Otherwise, I would be ashamed to be photographed with other famous, perhaps because of my lack of modesty, because there is in the attitude of one who makes an implicit recognition of success understood as a value that gives the measure of all things, a pleasant acceptance system, a symptom of alienation pleased. Photographing, say Berlusconi or Kaka to leave a bitter aftertaste to me, because before their flesh and blood people would do with the symbols of something suspicious. Yet, seen in these photos, the demigods are too much like us, to the point that if you did not know in advance, often would not know to tell who is the famous image, because many are local celebrities, champions of minority sports, famous series B, for those who just for the pleasure that we can awaken the desire to immortalize them.
